'S&M bondage video' of Cecilia Cheung leaked online

The 39-second long clip, shot by Hong Kong director Vernie Yeung, a friend of Edison Chen, showed Cecilia Cheung wearing just a white tank top and black knickers.

The actress was also bound tightly in red ropes and gagged with a ball throughout.

According to Chinese reports, netizens originally thought that the video was part of the scandal of sex photos that surfaced in 2008.

A short (but intense!) video clip of Cecilia Cheung (ÕÅ°ØÖ¥) tied up with a red ball gag stuffed in her month has gone viral.

In the 39-second-long segment, the actress wears just black knickers and a white tank top.

She looks as if she has been beaten and is petrified, while mascara and tears stream down her cheeks and she drools.

Some netizens wrongly thought the video was part of the sordid treasure trove of sex pics found on Edison Chen‘s (³Â¹ÚÏ£) computer in 2008, that were uploaded and unwittingly made Cecilia an international star.

The creepy sadomasochistic film is actually an experimental work called Captive, created by Hong Kong director Vernie Yeung (ÑîÁú³Î) a few years ago that supposedly satirizes the paparazzi.

There are other film clips associated with Captive, featuring singer-actress Josie Ho (ºÎ³¬ÒÇ) and actor Sam Lee (Àîè²è¡).

The director, Vernie, just happens to be Edison’s buddy.

"How ironic. Those films were made years ago as a critique of the press, and now they are using them to make up stories,” Vernie commented, in English, on his microblog.

He was referring to the misleading story carried by Hong Kong weekly Face in its latest issue, that ran with a huge headline on the cover, saying: “Edison’s good friend releases Cecilia’s S&M film.”

Vernie said the film was shown at a public event with thousands of people in attendance more than five years ago.

This was reported by the media at the time but did not get much attention, as Cecilia wasn’t that famous, as she hadn’t been involved in a sex scandal up to that point.

The concept of the video clip was supposedly to depict the pressure and pain that the paparazzi causes celebrities, Vernie said.
