The first Amoy Cup will be held at the People’s Stadium of Gulangyu Island on 23rd June, 2012
Could there be anything better than watching an awesome football tournament in the sun this summer? Drink beer, enjoy the island view and soak in the lively atmosphere in the company of fellow passionate football fans.

Organized by the Xiamen International Football Club, the first, and much-anticipated, “Amoy Cup” football tournament is set to kick off on this year’s Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on 23rd June, 2012.

Xiamen International Football Club is inviting 10 teams to compete in the 7-a-side tournament, which will be held at the People’s Stadium of Gulangyu Island. The 10 teams will try to battle their way to the victory in the first “Amoy Cup” from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Besides the exciting football, you also can look forward to the great After Party at LOMO Club that night. The party will start from 8:00 pm and last till early the next morning at LOMO Club, a great place for you and your friends to share a fun night together.
Gulangyu features a blend of colonial architecture such as and the Eight Divining-Rod Tower (八卦楼), Huangroung Yuantang Villa (黄荣远堂别墅) and The Seaside Garden Hotel (pictured).
For those who want to linger for a long or short holiday, Gulangyu is an ideal choice. The island, which is just under two kilometers square, is most famous for its beaches, seafood, ancient relics and a refreshing lack of automobiles, which are banned. Gulangyu is nicknamed "Piano Island." With a population of around 25,000, the subtropical town contains more than 5,000 pianos and a 450-square-meter piano museum, showcasing more than 40 ancient pianos from around the world. The other main draw of Gulangyu is the large number of colonial houses -- a legacy of having been an international settlement of 14 different countries in the 19th and early 20th century.

Come with your friends and family, let's enjoy the matches!
