The 11th International Conference on Green and Energy-efficient Building was kicked off in Beijing on March 25. Lv Ruifeng, member of the Standing Party Committee and vice mayor of Shenzhen, attended the conference and made a speech.
Chou Baoqing, Conselor of the State Council and President of the Chinese Society for Urban Studies, along with Lv Ruifeng, revealed the Green-building Logo of Shenzhen during the conference and announced the city’s intentions to officially put it into use on the same day.
As the first city using a green building logo in China, Shenzhen will equip the logo on notable positions of all its green buildings.
The entire area of Shenzhen’s green building construction projects has surpassed 21 million square meters, and 208 of the city’s projects had gained green building assessment identifications by the end of 2014.
A large-scale green building industrial cluster worth more than RMB 100 billion has been formed in Shenzhen and has extended to other domestic cities, Hong Kong, and even other South-east Asia areas in recent years.
