America-based Home Instead Senior Care announced the opening of its first Shenzhen franchise in Futian District this Wednesday.
The company aims to lift the life quality of the local elderly population by offering caretaking services for the elderly, in particular those with Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease, in their homes rather than at a nursing home.
"Shenzhen will become an aging society by 2020 and we need professional caretaking services in addition to our warm-heartedness,” said Hou Yisha, Deputy Director of the city’s Civil Affairs Bureau.
Home Instead Senior Care is an American-based multinational network of franchises specializing in non-medical in-home care for the elderly in support of aging in place. Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, it is the largest senior care franchise in the world, with 1000+ independently owned and operated offices worldwide.
